It's a perfect little.village with a few places to eat and plenty of swimming and walking. However I think a week is enough. Two weeks was a bit much. Make sure you visit the other side which has great restaurants (Kod marka!) And a fab beach and beach bar with crazy views. Balun bar and restaurant in suradad is the best value, great pizza and lovely staff. Plus a great place to sit for a few hours. Wine tasting on the island was fun

    Sudurad is very quiet.

Sudurad is very quiet. We went there for 3 nights to relax after We spend time in Split and Dubrovnik. There are a couple of restaurants in the small Harbour where you can eat: we visited Konoba Stara Mlinica and Balun. You van also go to Bozica or Tri Sestre. Enough choice we would say. Near the beach a young man just started his place: Za Orsanum. Only drinks and a great cheese and prosciutto platter. We would certainly recommend this one for a drink and the platter is great. You can take the bus to the other village on the island. When we were there it was very quiet, we liked Sudurad better.

Mediterranean island with clear blue waters and verdant scenery; mostly quiet (apart from day-trippers on ferries) with just enough hostelries; historical interest in the two small villages; inland also looks very interesting and nice for trails

Not many restaurants on the island so you're limited on choice. The port is quite touristy during the day with day trips but this can be avoided if you go to the other side of the island or stick around your hotel during the day at their pool/beach and venture out when all the boats have gone in the afternoon.

very pretty, small harbour village -it can get rather overrun with day trippers so some of the local restaurateurs are a little jaded. Hire a bike for an easy ride to the rather grand harbour on the other side of the island 4k away, or walk there and catch the bus back, or canoe round to the luxurious (and very expensive) Bowa restaurant for lunch. The best place we ate at was Tri Sestre.

Sudurad is essentially a small fishing village with character. A few shops, bars and restaurants. It is a stopping off place during the day for boats and many tourists in the day but in the evening very quiet and scenic. The restaurants are very good and there is a bus to Sipanska Luka on the other side of the island which is a more affluent resort with more restaurants and stunning views and sunsets. The local wine and olive oil are very good but limited shopping.
