I was there to see a band at Gyárkert, a venue in Veszprém. I explored the old town a bit but, at most, it should only take you 2 hours to get through the whole thing. Balaton Plaza was a disappointment and only had a few stores. I would recommend staying in Veszprém for two days at most.KSouth Korea - 10Scored 10

Great "station" for visiting Balaton and countryside. Historical center is small but very nice. Near the city is a lot of former military bases (Soviet, Austrian-Hungary) and also fine hills for hiking (not many in Hungary).

We were staying very close to the main market square where...
We were staying very close to the main market square where you can visit museums, churches and basilica. There is also beautiful panorama when you go towards those sights. You can get everywhere on foot which is also a plus. In september it is difficult to find restaurant opened longer than 10pm. We would definietely recommend Irish pub (opened longer) close to market square. Good food and very nice service also English speaking waiter.

Veszprém well worth a visit. The castle disctrit, the valley of the Séd are beautiful. There are a lot to do in Veszprém itself and Balaton lake and Bakony mountains are reachable by bus or train easily.ÁÁgnes56Hungary

It is located close to a bus stop from where you can reach the city center and the train station. Exceptionally clean and comfy. For me it was important to be able to have a self check in late in the evening , I was happy this was provided. I booked it twice and I would probably look for it again if I went back to Veszprém. The communication with the owners was also fast and efficient, thanks for that: )

Capacity should be okay for the size of the hotel. Breakfast was rich, with a good selection of food and drinks. Location is perfect, a quiet place in a picturesque valley, but still very close to the old town and the castle, where you find an ample selection of wonderful restaurants (like Elefánt, Chill or Fricska). The Zoo is also nearby. Staff was helpful and kind. Very pleased with our time there, thank you.

The train station is 3 km far away, what can be done in 45 minutes walking. Close to the hotel there is 1 restaurant with terrace but you can reach the city center in 10 minutes walking where you can find more restaurants and shops and the monuments. The room was good quiet and comfortable. Wifi good, breakfast good, nice staff.
