Cisternino is a beautiful town with friendly people.
Cisternino is a beautiful town with friendly people. My Italian is bad but I never had any problems being understood and everyone was very helpful. Go to a place once and they will remember you and your preferences. The food is delicious and plentiful.
The town is clean and safe. One of the really nice things is you can go to the edge of town and farms and vineyards are a short walk. Have a drink or coffee in one of the cafes near the edge of town and enjoy the view.

Cisternino quite rightly is one of the most beautiful town of Italy. We so enjoyed meandering the warrens of beautiful cobbled streets surrounded by immaculate white buildings adorned with an assortment of vividly coloured flowers. The people were so friendly and food and general vibe was fantastic. A truly lovely place to stay and explore Puglia! Less touristy and packed than the neighbouring towns. We will be recommending to everyone we know .

The town is lovely.
The town is lovely. Try to visit the weekly local farmers market (fruit, veg, olives, nuts, plants, cheese and more). There is one Monday mornings. Ask a local to direct you.
There is a great bakery in town called Al Vecchio Forno on the Piazza Mazzini. This is a nice area to walk around at night and it's full of restaurants. A Pté nearby is a cute grocery to get cheese, meat etc. Please buy stuff here and support the local farmers. 😀👍
The town is very scenic, so visit anytime of day for good photo ops and views.
For a good cup of coffee and the best pastries, go to a very popular spot called Almond just outside of town. It's not too difficult to find street parking here, and it has a nice outdoor seating area. Don't miss the creme filled Pasticciotto and Tette Delle Monache. Top!
There's so much more to tell about Cisternino, but it's up to you to discover it yourselves 👍 Best to visit spring and autumn!

The Trullo Cime Bianche is just between Cisternino and Martina Franca. Arounded by a wonderful nature with many trulli still in fonction, two towns with an originally centre, ectraordinary olive trees on the way to the coast, with many different beaches. The region did keep a good rural feeling near to nature also the people. You find fantastic originally food. The host was extraordinary helpfull, charmimg and offering all you could find to eat in the garden.

Lovely area for the traveller that likes access to several town and city centres with historic quarters. Cisternino itself is one of the nicest hilltop towns albeit relatively small. As a holiday location it provides easy access to many other centres, usually with a short drive. Other key locations like Matera can also be visited within a day trip.

There is a large market in town on Mondays. Bakery's and Bar's had freshly baked croissants. Fruit vendors had delicious items. A historic town that's lovely to walk at night. Very lively!
very quaint and charming place conveniently located near Cisternino. Cisternino happens to be our favorite town during this trip!
Valeria welcomed us with a typical caffe leccese. she was very patient and nice to us, explained everything we need to know. Monica is also very warm and friendly, treating us like a family. these two girls went above and beyond to make us feel home. you can tell they really enjoy working here. very sincere interaction with service comparable to 5-star resort. we will definitely come back here again!
Recently converted trullo in a fabulous location. Coms with Grazia was excellent and there were a few Puglia specialities and a bottle of wine for our arrival. The olive oil from the trees around the trullo was excellent.
The trullo had everything we needed and we ate there every night to allow us to spend as much time as possible at the trullo.
It is transformed at night as the auto lighting system switches on - swimming under the stars highly recommended.
Highly recommended and we will be back.
Beautiful building, nice, clean room, very spacious. Nice variety for breakfast, although I only had a croissant and cappuccino, the options are many. Plenty of parking. A bit far from the center of Cisternino, but ok if you have a car. Very beautiful surroundings and views, very quiet-so much so that I would have slept until noon, had not housekeeping knocked on my door at 10:45 asking if I was alright… they probably thought I had died!😂
The apartment is spacious, clean, beautiful and close to the center of town. The owner is very nice and checked in with me often to be sure I was happy.
Cisternino is a beautiful lively town with friendly people. Many great restaurants and bars. One night at a bar I spoke to three men about New York, Chicago and Frank Sinatra even though I barely speak Italian and the didn't speak English. Somehow we made ourselves understood.
Casa di Alice is a modern apartment in a quiet alley (apart from an excellent meat restaurant below which can be a little noisy midday over the weekend) The apartment is tech savvy in every way. Basic amenities are provided and it is tastefully appointed. The hosts are also wonderful, helpfully, accommodating and obliging. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, it’s the go to place if you’re visiting Cisternino. Highly recommend.
Borgo Altobello is such a hidden gem in the lovely countryside of Puglia.
Everything is just perfect about the place.
The location is great, ideal for a retreat and not far from lovely Italian villages.
The property is stunning and done up with such great taste.
Sara and her family are so helpful and they made sure we had everything we needed to spend the perfect holidays.
We had such a wonderful time, grazie mile.
This was just a very lovely stay in historic Trulli in a beautiful location with fantastic hosts. It is a very relaxing environment and only 30 min to those things people want to visit in southern Puglia. The hosts are very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. The breakfasts were excellent and made with great care. The pool is a huge bonus in the hot summer weather. We had a great visit and look forward to visiting again!
Squeaky clean and well-equipped appartment, comfortable bed with quality linen, big bathroom with nice shower and soft and clean towels. Beautiful and silent surroundings. Owners are really friendly and easy to communicate with.
Cisternino is just a 30 minutes walk away, by car just a few minutes drive.
I can highly recommend Trulli Stett to travellers who appreciate nature and tranquility!
Excellent and beautiful residence, very comfy and suitable to visit Cisternino, Monopoli, Polignano, Otranto, Alberobello and even Matera. Car in this region seems to be a must have to us. All facilities are beyond up to par, nice and cosy decorated and beautiful view over the valley. You are staying at the center's town square, bars, restaurants and bakeries are only few meters away.
Our time at Borgo Canonica was very special. The property was very pretty and we felt hidden away for a few days but close to nearby towns - Cisternino and Ostuni. The restaurant served up some delicious food. Our room in the traditional trullo was a unique and cozy touch. The whole experience was fantastic, and we're definitely considering coming back in the future.
Beautiful house, with big garden and terraces. Easy walk walk into Cisternino, even with young kids. Vito was helpful and friendly, and left out plenty of food, coffee and everything we needed which was great as we arrived late. A real trullo, very nicely refurbished, very peaceful, and such a great location (close to all the villages and also to some nice beaches)
I rarely leave a review, but this accommodation exceeded my expectations and deserves a praise. Beautiful remote location but close to Cisternino and Alberobello, friendly and warm-hearted hosts, and an accommodation that was decorated with love and attention to detail. Perfect accommodation for a couple, we did not miss anything here and would come back anytime!
Had a fabulous fortnight. Accommodation was great, the pool was lovely. And the location was ideal - a ten minute or so walk to Cisternino, which is a stunning little town with loads of nice restaurants. You felt like you were living in the countryside, but you were in a busy town in a matter of minutes.
Irena was really nice and very, very helpful.
The location is excellent. On a hillside, close to many interesting spots in Puglia. And with an amazing view. Angelo and Barbara were always there to either offer the best cappuccino or suggest places to eat in the nearby towns. Pierluigi made sure everything was beyond expectations.
Very nice, recently renovated apartment in the heart of Cisternino. Spacy, friendly and very comfortable with two fully equipped bathrooms. Super friendly owner welcomed us and explained everything, we felt totally at home for the week in Cisternino.
Breakfast was nice with lots of homegrown produce and baked items. Very quiet location but close to Cisternino and centrally located for getting to many other towns. Surrounded by olive and fig trees and many other fruit bearing plants.
Breakfast was excellent, with fresh cheese and some of the best egg options cooked to order. Cute design of hotel rooms. Spotless clean. Hotel restaurant cooks good food albeit a bit pricey. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Stella and Stefano are extremely friendly and are always available for help and advice.
The location is perfect for exploring the highlights of Puglia.
