Rinella in June was very quiet with not many restaurants to choose from. There was one clothes shop,one grocery shop and one tabbachi. If you don’t have a car, ferry, taxi or Citi bus is the only way to get about - or hiking of course. The bus I think is cheapest but we didn’t use it because we were mostly island hopping. 10 minute ride on ferry to Santa Marina Salina seemed expensive for the trip but I think it gets more expensive at certain popular times of the day. This is a quieter, more remote place to do the hopping (with the extra 10 min journey always tagged on the end from Santa Marina) so if you want a little bit more buzz choose one of the other islands or Santa Marina. Personally, we liked the vibe on Vulcano and loved Stromboli. (Stromboli is probably not the best base for island hopping though as it is the furthest one away). Lipari is big and bustling and didn’t feel like island-life but if you like that sort of thing, it’s a great base. On the whole we enjoyed our choice of base at Rinella. It was a good ‘getaway from it all’ place, where we were forced to do extremely little- when not venturing.

They arranged a shuttle (for free) to and from the Rinella port, helped us negotiate a price for our moped, and gave us great ideas on where to go. The breakfast was very good, and the staff’s attentiveness was top notch. The hotel itself was in good shape, has a wonderful view of the sea, and the rooms were quiet and comfortable. Wifi was reliable and air conditioning worked. Overall, excellent value and we loved our stay here! Thank you!

It was a pleasure to meet them. Leni is a little village and one gets to know the locals a bit in a short time. I ate at a new little kitchen close by run by Enzo and it was homely and delicious. The local wines are wonderful and the capers and lemons! There are some lovely walks nearby. I would love to stay longer.AronAustralia

The restaurant is excellent but popular in the neighbourhood so reservations are recommended. The little village of Leni has a lot of charm. It's quiet and calm and there is nothing to do... Perfect for a laid back holiday disconnecting from the busy city life. There is an hourly bus service and if you can drive a scooter, renting one is a great idea to get around. What at amazing experience! I had the best Birthday ever. We got an upgraded to the room with a terrace with sea view. Clean, perfect location, amazing customer service. Next to the sea, clear water. Each rooms have slippers and robe provided. Breakfast has the best pastries. Room was very comfortable.

He booked a lot of great activities for us, had superb recommendations and was overall extremely friendly. The hotel is in an amazing location: right by the sea, with the sound of the waves to fall asleep to, and the view on the open sea. Rinella is truly magnificent, so much nature to see around, such a special place, we loved it.

Francesca made us feel so welcome and was very helpful in advising us on what to do in the area. Her hotel is spotless and the breakfast each morning was fabulous. Home made cakes & beautiful jams. Her little boy "Julio" was adorable. A special place that has left us with wonderful memories.
