Francesco is a lovely host at la casa di Adelina.
Francesco is a lovely host at la casa di Adelina. He immediately made us feel right at home as he showed us around the shared spaces and our private space. He also shared the fascinating history of his family and the "casa." He is a wonderful baker and prepared beautiful, delicious breakfasts each morning. He answered every question we had about the town, allowing us to explore with confidence. He made excellent recommendations. I would HIGHLY recommend a visit to charming and friendly Monticchiello and to la casa di Adelina. We hope to retun.

Monticchiello is a lovely small town in the heart of Val d'Orcia. We stayed here several days and traveled by car to other places in Toscana. There are a few good restaurants in the town and the most breathtaking view on Toscana hills.

A beautiful mountain top Tuscan hamlet.
A beautiful mountain top Tuscan hamlet. We walked around the walls and tiny streets. We ate at Dario’s where we had a delicious lunch of suckling pig. We attended a wedding at the church which was an amazing experience.

Monticchiello is such a cute village and you can't miss the local playhouse/museum - wish we'd had more time to explore it! It's the perfect place to stay if you want to explore Pienza and the Val d'Orcia but come back to a homely, less touristy home-base.

Montichiello is a small quiet village in Tuscany, Val d´Orcia. I would have loved staying here longer than one night. It was really very cosy and lovely, just like you would image Tuscany. Daria is very kind and her colleagues too,. We also had the best dinner in her restaurant.
We spent 3 lovely days here in Monticchiello. It felt heavenly. The welcome, the property, the location couldn't have been better. The views of the valley across to Pienza were mind bogglingly spectacular. And then we had breakfast the first morning. Great coffee, fruits, yoghurt, toast, bacon and eggs and baked goods to start each day. The water pressure, air conditioning and WiFi were all so good. This will be our go to place to stay in this part of Tuscany in the future. Thank you Guido and Zia for such an enjoyable stay.
This was such a surprise treat, we wished we could have stayed longer! The town of Monticchiello is adorable and this B&B sits up on the hillside. We had a wonderful view from our room and were able to eat dinner at their Michelin star restaurant. It was delicious and had an excellent wine selection! Debra also was able to help us with booking a tour at a winery if we wanted or a renting bikes to explore the country side. Thank you for helping make our honeymoon so special!
The property is set in the enchanting village of Monticchiello, between Pienza & Montepulciano. Guido was an amazing host, who helped us feel so welcomed and even made us 2 fabulous dinner reservations in town (Ristorante Daria & Osteria Fra Paolino), which were 2 of the best meals we ate this entire trip. We would love to come back in summer to experience the outdoor theatre….truly a remarkable town!
Beautiful property in a perfect spot for days trips and quick drives to restaurants. Our hosts were fabulous, including their lovely parents who we wanted to take home with us! I would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking to explore the Tuscany area. The home was was perfect for 2 couples, spacious, bright and airy! Book this home and you will not be disappointed!!
Excellent! If you want authentic Italy in a small hilltop town of approximately 200 residents with gorgeous views then this is the place to stay. Francesco is wonderful host and a great chef! The breakfasts are great!
This is our 4th trip to Italy and one of our best stays!
The scenic views are tremendous- observed numerous painters painting the scenery.
We had a nice room with a little terrace. The view from the main terrace was amazing, so beautiful! Breakfast was included and we could pick whatever we wanted. We had dinner at the estate a few times and it was great! Sergio is so kind and a great chef. The location is very good located, close to Montepulciano and Pienza.
We loved the location, the view, the old town and Bronzino restaurant in the old Monticchiello. The property is easy to find. A host was nice and super helpful. She suggestet some nice places and spots to visit. After a long drive a fresh home made cake was waiting for us. Mmmmm :)
An unforgettable stay in a beautiful apartment with an amazing view! The location is unique, overlooking Monticchiello and Pienza. Mr. Mino was also very kind to provide us with everything we needed and the red wine he offered us was a also a great touch! A place to return!
The most beautiful view of the Pienza and the valley. Amazing.
Our room was on the other side, so we didn't have the sun over, and it was very nice, not very hot, so we slept well.
The breakfast included is really nice, you can eat what you feel like, salty or sweet.
the property is super unique and special. location is incredible in the center of the old village. the view from the window is right across from the cathedral. the owner is super friendly and generous and had great suggestions of where to have dinner!
Everything about this stay was wonderful. Adeline is the perfect host. Montichellio is a lovely little village, close enough to a few of the other larger towns. The property offers great views in every direction. We would come back here for sure!
The B&B is beautiful and the village is also really nice. breakfast is perfect and everything you need was there. The owner is nice and is there for you to help if you want. We will go back to this B&B for sure.
Daria is lovely, the hotel is lovely, the town is lovely. Their restaurant is in another building 1 min away from the hotel and they make Michelin star worthy food. The best experience was having dinner there.
