Four nights in October 2023 was thoroughly enjoyable. Fransesca, was a gracious host who shared her knowledge of the area and prepared the most delicious breakfast with local ingredients every morning. The comfortable apartment was clean and refreshed regularly and had a scenic view which will be remembered, but most of all, we will remember her genuine hospitality.

The property was great in every way for our 3 night stop in Golfo Aranci.
The breakfast was a nice way to start the morning
In a very comfortable setting outside by the pool.
The Turkish bath and massage that was scheduled on request were a great way to relax and distress before heading back home.
There were some cute shops and restaurants that offered quality local cuisine in the area and best of all, the staff was super professional, warm and accommodating.
We would highly recommend Villa Margherita for
anyone visiting Golfo Aranci!

This was a gem of a place. The location was in front of an amazing beach. The sea view room was just perfect. We met Gina at the front desk. She was welcoming and supported us with all our requirement. She went overboard to help us offered us food late night when we overslept while taking a nap. She also suggested to go for a dolphin tour which was so worth it.

Public transport buses was finished for the season.
Local train was at the other end of the town
Golfo Aranci is a small town so easy to get around by walking.
Getting to Albia can be done by train however not very frequent
If you want to travel around the area you probably need a car.
Very friendly and welcoming local peop[le.

Golfo Aranci was my favourite town in Sardinia, it is picture perfect, the people and staff at our hotel were so nice & Friendly, the town has a small Train Station and you can reach Olbia in 25 mins via Train. When I return to Sardinia I will stay here again. Lots of water activities available, and boat trips you can take from the port.

Perfect location, being right on the beach and near shops...
Perfect location, being right on the beach and near shops and cafe was great. The late check in charge is a bit unfair as we don't control the times of the fights and potential delays at airport. Being charged a lot extra to leave luggage there was also a bit unfair too especially if no new guests were expected that day.
The beach was gorgeous and the water was superb! Supermarkets are not as cheap as you might expect when overseas. The town is very traditional and beautiful with no high rise buildings and fast food restaurants etc. Most of the tourists are Italian which is great for those who really want to escape from their normal environment.
The locals are very friendly.
Over all a gorgeous quiet location if you want to relax.

A little quiet for us in May.
A little quiet for us in May. We were quite surprised at how out of season it felt during the UK half term. (End May / early June). Lots of places closed or in the process of being done up for the summer season.

The location was absolutely beautiful.!
The location was absolutely beautiful.!
There were some issues with the bathroom that were never addressed. The reception was aware and made a call to the owners but nothing was ever done within the 10 days we were there.

Very friendly to English tourists.
Very friendly to English tourists. Got treated very differently to local italians which was very disappointing. Very very expensive taxis (not sure if it was just because we were tourists) and no public transport so be careful on the location of your hotel or where you are staying. Also restaurants close or stop serving food 4-7pm.
We stayed here for two days and It was one of our most memorable stays in Sardinia , mainly because of the outstanding hospitality by Michele and Ornella. The cottages were immaculate clean and comfortable. The scenery outside was a little bit of heaven, retreated from the overcrowded east coast. Being high on a mountain was glorious, the the olive trees line and the sea breeze coming from the Golfo Aranci were a true breath of fresh air. The served home cooked breakfast was just unreal ( Ornella you make the best cakes ever !🥰🥰)
absolutely everything, close to the beach and the apartment well equipped.
The owner made us feel very welcomed. He grated us with a big smile and give us great recommendations for restaurants and activities. There were some complimentary traditional Sardinian sweets that were delicious. We’ve bought more from the shop across the street.
I will like to point the apartment was sparkling clean!
we’ve had a fantastic stay despite the bad weather.
Thank you so much, Antonello! We are looking forward to seeing you again soon.
The hotel is located right on the beach and is very convenient. Within walking distance from restaurants, shops and the center of this small but cozy town. Very friendly and helpful staff. The owners of the hotel are professionals who know how to properly organize a vacation and please every vacationer. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The rooms are cleaned every day. The rooms have everything you need. Excellent sea view from the terrace. Every morning breakfast for every taste!
Fantastic location where you can explore the best beaches in northeast Sardegna. Great views from the villa and beautiful flowers on the property. Nice place to enjoy a meal on the covered patio. Bedrooms are large and actually includes a king bed in the master. Spacious living room and kitchen and includes three bathrooms. Towels and an umbrella were left for us so we did not have to spend money on those items. A nice champagne was left in the fridge for us as guests of the villa.
We had a wonderful stay at La Smeralda. The rooms were beautiful and clean, as was the bathroom. The breakfast every morning was wonderful, especially the homemade cakes and tarts. The staff was absolutely wonderful too - very kind and attentive and always willing to help make our stay the best possible. The location was also perfect - in the town center. We would definitely come back and stay here again.
the apartment is clean, modern and tidy. It is an amazing location right on the beach with sea views. The water is shallow and fairly warm so great for kids. It is walking distance to a supermarket and restaurants. The town is fairly small and quite, but has enough restaurants to eat at, but if you like the hassle and bustle this is not the place for you.
After checking into this lovely boutique, we enjoyed the coffee and homemade cake served by the two friendly ladies. The interior and outdoor design of the hotel is absolutely unique and elegant. Having our drinks on the sun loungers by the pool and enjoying the view of the beautiful nature was the most memorable time of our holiday in Sardinia.
The location of this hotel was perfect. A quick walk down the hill on the right is Cactus Cafe (drinks, cornetto, cafe, sandwiches etc) and to the left down a tiny walkway to the beach. We rented a car which is a must and went and checked out so many different towns along the coast! Excellent value!
very convenient position, just at the entrance of Golfo Aranci, but you can travel around on foot, if you don’t fancy taking the car. supermarket literally round the corner. lovely central sea view. agency super friendly, turned up at check out with a goodbye gift (nice bottle of local wine).
- Beautifully located with an amazing view
- Nice and clean rooms with A/C
- Francesca as a host was super Kind and had very good tips for nearby restaurants and beaches. Furthermore, she was really flexible with regards to our check out
- Superb breakfast, we could not ask for more
The location is great, overseeing on Golfo Aranci, on a nice hill where you are surrounded by these nice villas. The area is pretty quiet and it's close to the airport (20min drive). Suggested if you are planning to stay within the area and not drive too much on a daily base.
The location of the Hotel is Excellent, a few steps from the beautiful Beach and a short walk to the centre of the town. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The Cleanliness of the Hotel is excellent, bed sheets & Towels changed every day over our 6 days stay.
Thé host was awesome, she was so nice with us and made us feel at home
the breakfast was so so good
the location is great for piece and quiet and the view of the sea and mountains is just wow
a little gem in Sardinia! you must go!
Beautiful setting and common areas, spacious rooms, good breakfast, and super friendly and helpful service.
Convenient location with easy access from Olbia airport and many beaches and sites nearby.
Cosy family hotel. Well decorated and thoughtfully appointed. Super views from the suite on the top floor. Right on the beach. Relatively undeveloped family resort.
It was nice and quiet. Super clean with beautiful views. The room was extremely nice and very spacious.
The hosts made the best breakfast and were so helpful!
