We booked two rooms, the front desk is nice, and they have four car parks at the back door, arrival earlier can book these car parks. The room size is OK, but my room's toilet has a poor smell, I need to go to another room for the toilet, but it looks quite clean. Have no idea about this smell. The front desk is very nice and friendly.

I was here for work, so I did not have time for visiting properly, but I have been here several times, so I know it a bit.
There is not much to see, as it is a small town, compared to Tokyo, Osaka or Sendai, but it has its positive aspects.
Located between Tokyo and Kyoto, it is a good starting point for visiting these cities, as well as Nagoya, Shizuoka, or the Izu peninsula.
It is famous for being the hometown of Yamaha and Suzuki, and you can visit the Museum of Musical Instruments as well as the Suzuki museum, an unexpectedly interesting spot.
It is the centre for the production of eels (unagi) and you can taste them deliciously prepared.
Good restaurants, not of the fine dining type, though, but good average quality and price
Not to miss: Tir-na-nog, the Baird Brewery Beer House

Very close to the Hamamatsu shinkansen station.
Very close to the Hamamatsu shinkansen station. This hotel was a nice cheaper option that's still closer to Nagoya where the hotels are quite expensive. The locals were very helpful with helping us with directions and were even interested in having conversation while trying their best to speak English.

It's a nice and lively city.
It's a nice and lively city. I liked it at once, beginning from the railway station. Thanks to my friend who lives there, I could see a lot in only two days. We visited the castle, the sand dunes, Hamana Lake (with the rope way), Museum of Musical Instruments, Museum of Mechanical Musical Instruments and a eel restaurant. Everything was great!

Hamamatsu is a very cosmopolitan city that is teeming with life throughout the day and evening. It has many transportation lines, western dining and shopping establishments and everywhere I went, the people were always willing to assist with communication issues, directions and putting up with my limited Japanese, even in the local Japanese restaurants. Other food offerings include French, Spanish, and Mexican style fusion. If you are looking for flowers, I would highly recommend Julia's Flower Shop. It is off the beaten track near my hotel, but Julia has an eye for artistically arranging, a gift for understanding customer needs and a heart for all her customers. It is an area with a fundamental Brazilian population which adds to the international offerings of food establishments. It is rich with multicultural historical museums and events with my favorite visit to a free local piano concert at the Shizuoka University of Art and Culture by a beautiful, gifted and talented local resident who has played throughout the world. This concert included a new composition that was sung by the artist and local children in Japanese and Portuguese. It was delightful. I visited the Museum of Musical Instruments which has an historical collection of musical instruments from around the world in a beautiful facility with a helpful staff and many informational video and audio presentations. I would visit this city again.

Honestly, even though it was an older hotel it was clean and had great breakfast included and a walking distance to Hamamatsu Station. I just really didn’t like that it smelled like cigarette smoke for the entire 4 nights I was there.
Excellent Hotel. This was the most affordable hotel of our trip and the most comfortable and enjoyable. Very close to Hamamatsu station. Staff were very friendly. The complimentary breakfast was excellent (and I'm a fussy eater) and well stocked. The room was comfortable and clean with a heatpump and a humidifier, private bathroom with a bath. Bed wasnt too hard and i was able to request a second thicker pillow. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Hamamatsu.
I liked everything about this hotel. The location was great, just a 10 minute walk from the main train station and 10 minutes in the other direction to Hamamatsu Castle. The breakfast in the mornings was delicious (fyi: but difficult for vegetarians).
The room itself was big enough to keep my luggage open during my stay here. AC worked perfectly and there was even a humidifier.
I can really recommend this hotel!
The hotel was right across from the Hamamatsu JR station and the mall. There were also a lot of fantastic restaurants within walking distance. The room was pretty spacious and there was also complimentary parking. Also, the room we stayed in seemed to be an accessible room, so I guess this would be an accommodating choice for older people or people with inaccessibility.
As I made the move to Hamamatsu, I needed a place to stay while I got my apartment sorted. I was fortunate to find 365Base Hostel instead of staying at a hotel. I liked that they have private lodging as I had to work during the day as staying in a shared accommodation would have been inconvenient for me.
The rooms are capsule-hotel-style, only a bit bigger. There's a desk and a locker. I didn't get to use them but they have a public bath, sauna and other spa-like services. I especially liked the two-piece robes that we can change into and that the bed area can be closed with a pull-down shade.
The hotel was brand new. The rooms were clean. The amenities were plenty. There were high-quality body care items in the room and in the lobby. The staff were very polite and helpful. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hamamatsu. It's closer to the castle.
really recommend this hotel !! location is perfect . breakfast was delicious. rooms were clean ! lot of amenities! after breakfast I could take the drink back to room , as they provide some paper cups !!
Very clean and comfortable place we spent 3 nights at as base to explore the nearby town. Overall is wonderful stay and will recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Hamamatsu area.
