Prilep is a very friendly town and you can meet friendly people even by sitting on the public bench, people will approach you and try to make friends with you.
There are quite a lot of places that will attract your attention like some monuments from very well-known people from Macedonian history.
There is an incredible number of small restaurants where you can have food and it is very cheap indeed.
There are plenty of taxis and they are very cheap too.

Loved the old town and the all the history. Its a place with so much history.
The locals are the most wonderful people..... just keep an eye out for the Albanian/Gypsie kids as they tend keep an eye on you. But they're fairly harmless if you just tell them to go away when they ask for money.

Prilep is an amazing city.
Prilep is an amazing city. It has lots of nice restaurants and bars. Definitely check the “Macedonian House” Restaurant for some good traditional Macedonian food. Cocktails can be found in many bars for a good price. Make sure you visit Treskavec Monastery. The Monastery has an amazing view over Pelagonija, the landscape and nature are breath taking. You can also paraglide from Krusevo a city only 30min drive from Prilep.

The city center is quite nice with lots of cafés, shops, statues and a market. It is nice to walk around for a day or two. It's quite clean and the air is still fresh. The water in Prilep is great. The restaurant 'Macedonian House' (Македонска Куќа) is a standout location- fantastic food, great staff and traditional Macedonian music and dress in the restaurant.
Bicycle tourist here! Your bike can go in a gated alleyway owned by the hotel and restaurant.
Extremely warm and welcoming family. Jordan makes sure you have everything you need and is very nice to chat with. The best host I have encountered in Macedonia!
The rooms are great! Hot water, good WiFi, aircon or great ventilation from windows. Very quiet during the night. The perfect location in the city.
The restaurant is also very cool and chill. The food is great! All great prices.
I very much hope I can visit again!!
The Atlas is a great hotel in a perfect location in the centre of Prilep. The room we had was spotlessly clean, very spacious and comfortable. All of the staff where amazing, very helpful and very friendly. Breakfast in the top floor resturant had a good selection and was tasty. We had dinner at the resturant 2 times during our stay are were not disappointed. We will stay here again when we visir Prilep.
Traditional Macedonia house with great facilities running by a friendly young man Chris. Well organized and clean environment surrounded by cozy and peaceful vibe. Nearby bus/railway station and 2 mins walking distance to the old town. I was invited to join a free Macedonia-style homemade dinner when I checked in. Lucky me and the most hospitality hostel that I have ever had. Highly recommend.
The property is a five minute walk from the old town. When we got there, the owner, Ilija, was there to meet us and give us the key. The property is a detached house, with a bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchen/dining room (with an additional bed). It had air conditioning, two TVs, stove, refrigerator, and fast wi-fi. It's an excellent option for those visiting Prilep.
Very friendly family that even dropped us off at the train station. Amazing big apartment, almost to a level that it made no sense. Awesome facilities, washing machine, great shower, kitchen, big living room. And that for a third of the price of a small room in the Netherlands. Just awesome. It's 15min walk to the center, lovely place prilep.
We were really pleasantly surprised by our stay. We were visiting my wife's parents while her sister from London was also staying at their flat so it was kind of cramped and we chose to stay at a hotel nearby. We didn't except much, just a place to sleep but it was so beyond our expectations.
My stay at hotel focus was wonderful. The staff & owner Vlade was very accommodating and made stay enjoyable. The breakfast was very nice with good prices. I have already recommended hotel focus to all of my friends and look forward to staying again. Simon poposki Melbourne/marijovo
Chris is an amazing host. If you're in town, I recommend to book a room in the Antika guest house. Chris is super-friendly and will tell you everything you want to know about Prilep (including best places to eat, drink, have breakfast, etc.). Thanks for your hospitality Chris!
Great location - centre of town and the Prilep old Pazar is minutes away by walking. Supermarket and mini markers are around, cafes and restaurants - have your pick.
Comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen.
The host Katerina is flexible and understanding. Thank you!
Hands down my best stay in Macedonia. Spacious, clean room, just above a bar/restaurant in case you get hungry, recommend local beers there. Close to the Prilep centre and the room was overlooking the mountains. The staff is helpful and super friendly.
Apartments of utmost quality. No comparison in Prilep
The owner was amazing, helped out in a split second for any requests we had
Booked 7 apartments for my wedding guests and they were all delighted and amazed of the quality
The apartment is just minutes away from the center, but still it is located in a quiet street. We made a last minute booking while on the way to Prilep, and yet, everything was ready when we arrived.
The rooms are new, clean and tidy. You can contact them and let them know when you will be arriving and you can check in much later. Good value for money. Would recommend for a short stay in Prilep.
What a wonderful old house close to the center in Prilep. Communication with owner/manager easy via WhatsApp and the place feels like home with everything you could possibly need.....
Excellent little apartment, right next to the city center, fully equipped with everything you might need for a short stay in Prilep. Helpful and friendly hosts.
Hosts were great and so accommodating. Fast wifi, BIG bathroom, pics don't do it justice. Super close to everything in Prilep. Def recommend this place.
