The main square in the town and the few streets surrounding the hotel were really nice. However, many facilities are not open except on the weekends. Then again, I would have no desire to go there on the weekend because of the crowds. The visit to the Rocks - Las Piedrotas (15 minutes by car from Tapalpa town centre) is a must..ideally early in the morning, when the mist rises from behind the rocks and the surrounding wilderness. The town is quaint and pleasant with a beautiful cathedral.

Alonso would make us pretty much whatever we wanted and it was delicious. And he was no nice and helpful. He gave us some tips of places we should drive out to. The rest of the staff were great too.
