Our stay was too short to enjoy the indoor swimming pool and...
Our stay was too short to enjoy the indoor swimming pool and sauna, which were impressive to look at. Breakfast was sumptuous with fresh orange juice and a wide selection of hot and cold food. Our spacious room had a large balcony and the bathroom a choice of two shower heads one of which was impressive in size. The staff were wonderful from beginning to end and seemed genuinely happy to help. This would be an ideal hotel for couples and families to enjoy.

didn't get to see a lot of the town in little time, but getting around by foot in the center was no trouble. it was compact and lively, with many cafes and restaurants. but it wasn't too busy or hectic either. had a great icecream at IJscotheek van Olffen and some nice snacks at Restaria de Waag. the locals are quite friendly. Van der Valk hotel was a great location for an event.

Overall it was just a beautiful and relaxing space to land at night. The hosts are incredibly warm and welcoming and we loved learning more about the Netherlands from them. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast as well and recommend taking part in it.
