Went for the Race circuit at Zandvoort but we had lunch on the beach nearby and it looked good. The whole are has really interesting architecture and was a proper Dutch community town rather than just a tourist site

North of the canal, there is industry which is a fascinating view, they're building the biggest lock in the world there! The city is pleasant and there is some shopping opportunity. The beach is fantastic, the dunes are enormous and part of them are in a national park.

We had planned to eat at the De Dolfijn in Ijmuiden and to our dismay they are closed on a Tuesday. It was difficult to find a restaurant that sold gluten and dairy free food. We cycled around the town but didn't spend too much time there as we were waiting for our ferry back to England.

I did not like the town.
I did not like the town. A lot of staring people, it all felt a bit dark. The hotel was just fine and I think the location is okay since its close to the sea. I ate at 'Oma's Keuken' and this was nice, calm and not so expensive. Further I felt save and peaceful in the hotel room and the wifi works great (I watched a movie online). I stayed at Hotel Royal in IJmuiden.AlisaNetherlands

The owners send us all information needed before the arrival and they arranged us some welcome as well. There was free parking with the chalet, a restaurant in the camping (only open until 19h15), and a small shop where you can buy anything you need and some fresh bakery for the morning or the night. It has also heating system for the colder days. Also the bus stop is just in front of the camping, so you can go to Amsterdam directly from there (duration: 45 minutes).NelliBelgium

Now, dont expect perfection as the camp still looks kinda "raw" and unfinished, a bit chaotic you could say. The location is perfecr and your 4 legged friend will surely have the time of his life.
