It is not my first time over there.
It is not my first time over there. It is a very charming little village with things to do in every season of the year. It has a perfect distance from the towns e.g. Beverwijk and Heemskerk and to Alkmar or Amsterdam. It has been my favourite beach village near Amsterdam in Holland so far.

It is a beautiful small peaceful town in a lovely area right on the coast. It centres around a very large grassy 'field' where local horses graze. We only found one shop (Spar) but several restaurants although the menus were somewhat limited. We found the best places to eat were the restaurants on the beach, only a ten minutes walk away.

The location is close to the downtown area and pretty much everything you want to see and all the restaurants are within easy walking distance. There's a well-stocked Spar grocery/convenience store two blocks away. The hosts have pretty much anticipated all the needs of a traveler and provided for them. I won't hesitate to recommend this wonderful oasis to my friends and fellow travelers.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpfull always. We took two small dogs with us and they were made very welcome by the staff. Dogs allowed on the beach. The restaurant and bar was great with top quality food and prompt freindly service. The room was large enough and the bed very comfortable.
