Vadsö is the central hub on Varangerhalvöya.
Vadsö is the central hub on Varangerhalvöya. There is a nice design shop in the town. In 1926 the famous airship Norge moor the mast which is still to be seen. The taxi to the airport is outrageous expensive. I have paid 220 NOK, though the website of the airport informs you that it will cost 105-110 NOK.

Also we got to try out the kicksled (sparks) in the neighborhood that evening which was a memorable and fun experience and so easy because it was right there. Also very helpful is the free parking right by the hotel. Hurrah!

This is fully equipped (I mean, there are even two bikes one can use), and the hosts are incredibly dedicated to making your stay comfortable. The room was perfect, and I enjoyed the spacious living-dining room where I could work. Pristine!

It must be one of the biggest accomodations I've had during travels and I had a great time here. It's located in a quiet neigbourhood, some hundred meters from the closest grocery shop. Booking.com claims there is no parking there, but it is.

Peaceful location with close proximity to historic sites and excellent birdwatching. Staff were friendly and accomodating. Breakfast had alot of variety (though if you have allergies you will have to let staff know in advance for alternative milks etc).
