This was a total surprise for us. We thought it was going to be a hotel but it was a hidden oasis! I cannot begin to describe how beautiful the landscape and how well appointed the rooms and surroundings are. Miguel is an EXCEPTIONAL host and takes careful note of your needs. I only wish we had more than a day to spend there. OUTSTANDING!!!!!

The location was great, easy to walk to sights in old town. The beds were very comfortable and rooms were quiet. Nice courtyard to hang out in during the afternoon.

I thought the room was good-sized. The complimentary breakfast buffet was one of the better ones I remember, featuring several types of juice, a coffee machine that dispensed cappuccino, along with several other types of coffee, bacon, and a few choices of hams, croissants, breads, etc. I like the grounds behind the hotel, including the resident Peacock. The room was equipped with modern fixtures.

The Albergaria Solar de Monfalim is located in a 16th century Renaissance palace located in the heart of historical Évora. It features 2 terraces and serves a traditional buffet breakfast daily.
Our stay was perfect and idilic! The entire arquictecture and lay out of the property lends itself to absolute tranquility! More so the hosts are wonderful and caring individuals, who catered to our every need! I cannot recommend a stay here enough! The rooms have the most stunning views of the Alentejo as well as the rest of the property! This is a perfect sanctuary for rest and quiet and to reset. It is also close to Evora, so that it’s an easy 20m car ride into one of Portugal’s most historical and beautiful cities! This little sanctuary of golden fields and perfect arquitecture is one of a kind!
