Coruche is a nice quiet little town by the Sorraia river.
Coruche is a nice quiet little town by the Sorraia river. It has the charm of a countryside town but it is still big enough to have a museum and all the necessary goods and services. The town has some good typical food restaurants. I recommend going to the Nossa Senhora do Castelo church to get a nice view of the city. If you want a relaxed weekend trip to a not-so-touristy village, Coruche is your place.

The property is an old town house, nicely converted and refurbished and our room was spacious and comfortable. The house is located a block away from the main road, so wa nice and quiet. Coruche is not the most attractive town, but it makes a good stopover point.
