Tranquility Island Eco Dive Resort, hotel in Moso Island

Set on a secluded 900-acre tropical island, Tranquility Island Eco Dive Resort is a renowned scuba diving base offering over 18 different dove sites. Free WiFi is available in public areas.

Wonderful, peaceful oasis not far from Port Vila. Marie in town and then Thomas and Douglas on the island made the stay memorable. I felt looked after. Diving with Jerry was fun, even has a not experienced Open Water Padi. The trek across the island to Fred's, a cute Robinson Crusoe beach, was relaxing. I stayed in fare 3 and it was stunning with lots of air flow, a hammock to chill and always fresh flowers for decoration to make you feel like you are in paradise. The food was plenty and carefully decorated. The perfect place to kick back 3-5 days.

LOVED our stay and experience at The Moso. So relaxing and chilled out. 5 nights was a good amount for us. Plenty to do and see around the island. Snorkelling was amazing! Best choc lava cake and gnocchi I’ve ever had! Loved all the staff. Perfect spot for our honeymoon!

Vanuatu Beachfront Apartments, hotel in Moso Island

Located along the beachfront and offering a swimming pool and a café, Vanuatu Beachfront Apartments are set opposite Hideaway Island. All accommodations features free Wi-Fi.

The location is great, right on Mele beach and the property was very clear that the apartment we'd booked wasn't beach front, but faced the garden / bbq area so we didn't have unrealistic expectations. It's a two minute walk to the Beach Bar and the famous fire show went ahead despite a near cyclone. If the weather had been better we'd definitely have gone across to snorkel at Hideaway Island. Tanna Coffee is a short bus ride away. The staff are lovely, the complementary breakfast fine (if you're a tropical fruit fan, bring your own from the Vila markets) and the toasted cheese sammies for lunch awesome.

You can only take 3 walks on the island, one is a very long 45 mins to the beach on the other side of the island. It was a very hot walk on very uneven surfaces (coral rock) even the locals tell you to take a big bottle of water when you go. We took our own food. No transport on the island, the other two walks are to the local villages both 25 min walks, not easy if you have mobility issues. there are some local shops where you can buy bread (if not sold out) and a few other essentials but no bottled water, no butter or margarine. Overall i would not choose to go again due to the issues with the house we stayed in

It was incredible to be immersed in nature for a week.

It was incredible to be immersed in nature for a week. The endangered hawksbill turtles conservation work is making a real difference. The snorkelling and diving is easy and beautiful! The fares are private and made from handwoven palm leaves, stones and shells. The communal meals are great to catch up with everyone and the food was healthy and delicious. The hosts were lovely and gave great tips to get the most out of my stay - bush walks, kayaks or interesting stories and history.
