Witmos Oxwagoncamp, hotel in Somerset East

Providing a garden, Witmos Oxwagoncamp offers accommodations in Somerset East. This luxury tent provides free private parking and a shared kitchen.

It is one of the most unique experiences I’ve had, along with incredible welcoming and homey atmosphere. A perfect spot to unwind, experience nature and spend quality time with family/ friends. Everything has a special touch to it, that you can see the attention to detail. The freshly baked bread with butter and jam was the cream on top.

Dennegeur Guesthouse, hotel in Somerset East

The chalet was well equipped and had all the necessary “needs” of a traveller. Location suited me excellent, just 2km from friends. The (super friendly) owner did indicate that the property is new and thus the outside is not yet where she wants it to be. As it is a working farm, the outside is yet to be “landscaped” but there is a mobile braai for the braai-ehnthusiastics. For the price, the inside is well worth it and nicely decorated which includes microwave, fridge etc. Definitely value for money.

Herberg Manor offers accommodations in Somerset East, a 10-minute walk from Walter Battiss Art Museum and 0.7 miles from The Old Parsonage Museum.

Loved the location, building, views, the room was clean and neat as expected. Loved the decor in the room, the tranquility of the surrounding area. The breakfast was great, we enjoyed it, it was well prepared. Also liked the other areas of the house i.e. lounge and the grounds, all well maintained. Its even more beautiful in reality than in pictures.

Although it is a small town, there are Banks (Standard Bank, Capitec etc), Supermarkets (like SPAR), Fast Food (KFC), places to buy liquor (Tops). But there are not many tourists attractions except Museums.

A good alternative destination for an overnight or short stay. If you are an avid fly fisher person this could be a wonderful experience. Batiss Museum worth a visit, unfortunately the Old Parsonage was closed over the weekend.
