Things to do in Margaret River
Si Vintners winery
Si Vintners owners Iwo and Sarah bring many years of experience in the wine world to Si Vintners. After over ten years zipping back and forth between Europe and Australia, working on back-to-back harvests, they set up shop in Rosa Glen in 2010. Their natural farming ethos and friendly welcome make cellar visits a pleasure. Book ahead to get a spot.
Ashbrook Estate
Ashbrook Estate lies off the beaten track and retains a cosy, family feel. They produce excellent Rieslings, Sauvignon blancs and Shirazes, using only hand-picked grapes grown on the estate. The star of the show is their Chardonnay, though. If you’re into your whites, it’s well worth the extra drive to find this little gem.
McHenry Hohnen
McHenry Hohnen delivers an all-round experience. Tasting sessions at this quaint and friendly winery include farm-produced cured meats and hams as paired accompaniments to the range of quality wines. Book a visit and prepare to walk away with a bottle or two under one arm – and a pack of meat under the other!
