Very Good
A quite spot which is friendly and welcoming. Close to Brighton and only an hour from Gatwick with traffic . Food choice in the area was not huge. Faboulus place if relaxing is what your looking for, if it's a bit more hussel and bustle your looking for them stay in Brighton .

Beautiful promenade flower gardens. Town is an easy walk from beach area. Lovely and flat, no hills from beach to town, which is great for anyone that has difficulty walking too far. And Beachy Head is Brilliant for those that like a challanging bracing walk.

The only thing I thought was really disappointing was the state of the roads and pavements-pot holes abound! Eastbourne in the depths of winter still provided me with lots to do and see. I really enjoyed the place, it lends itself to a slightly more sedate way of life.

Recommended in Eastbourne

The walks along the cliffs around Beachy Head are suitable for people of all ages as the ground is gently sloping with no steep bits. Birling Gap and the Seven Sisters is very interesting as you can see how the coastline has evolved over the years. You can walk as far as you can see if you are feeling energetic.

There is a good variety of shops for young and old. Young people do use Eastbourne as a shopping target, but it is particularly good for those of a certain age who would appreciate the flatness of the central area: no hills to negotiate.

Sitting on the beach watching the free Airborne long weekend. Beautiful surroundings, shops are good and restaurants are varied and good quality

Saw a pro-am production at the Hippodrome this time. Well produced and performed musical variety "There's Magic in the Music"

Eastbourne has a reputation for safety and cleanliness. The promenade is flat and is great for strolling or jogging.

The views from Beachy head are amazing
