A small city well worth a half days exploration, city walls, the river, a castle with museum, a cathedral and on some days a good market. There are some good eating places. We will be back!

Variety of building styles and lots of nooks and crannies to explore. Lots of photo opportunities. Ate out on both nights and a good mix of restaurants with good value for money. All within walking distance. Was doing some family history research at Castle Museum.

The town was very interesting with plenty of nooks and crannies. Both the historical and the facilities were excellent and we will revisit in the future but we will stay in a different hotel.

Best of Shrewsbury

River cruise - excellent guide, informative about the history of Shrewsbury. Narrow streets, indoor market, variety of independent shops, good selection of old and new pubs and restaurants.

Probably the castle, the library, market road and the main square, St. Nicholas, St. Mary's

Great small businesses selling from Antiques, Arts and Crafts and Clothes.

Great Theatre and would recommend to all!!

Small individual retailers.
