Start off by researching places near where you have to be. Whenever your business is concluded, you could make time to visit other places. Don't over do it though & miss your flight home. Houston is a very big city especially to someone visiting for the first time. Plan ahead as much as you can so there you don't run into surprises you can't handle. Lastly, travel safe.
