Very Good
Kinsale is a lovely vibrant place to visit in the summer time, it is very quiet in the winter months, and a lot of the restaurants and shops may be closed off season.

Kinsale is a friendly town and small enough to stroll around. The Jim Edwards restaurant serves great food at reasonable prices with helpful staff.

Great small town with lots of restaurants and bars near one another and even in a wet day in January there was a super atmosphere.

While the weather on the day was quite stormy, the magic of the scenery from Kinsale, to Cobh, to Cork, to Clonakilty never faded. I recommend the short ferry crossing on the Cobh road. Quite novel, and shortens the trip from Cobh to Kinsale considerably.

Kinsale is an historically important town in Ireland with ties to the Irish fight for independence, the Lusitania, pirates and literature. Take Don & Barry's tour of Kinsale to learn all about the fascinating history of this small harbor town.

What makes fine dining in Kinsale stand out?

Many of the smaller restraunts have well thought out and eclectic menus, and still manage to keep their prices quite reasonable. The larger establishments still maintain a friendly and personable attitude. Spoilt for choice in Kinsale.

We were impressed with the docents at the museums and the way they described events that took place so long ago.

Narrow , winding streets, with lots of window shopping and small restaurants and bakeries to indulge in

Jim Edwards restaurant is good. Dalton's is a nice small friendly bar. Blue Haven good for music.

Incredible scallop dinner at Fishy Fishy Restaurant.

Linda's diamond shop full of treasures.
