Booking.com asked travelers...Which spot is best for taking photos in Monterosso al Mare?
A lot of famous postcard like photos were taken from a hiking route (vernazza - monterosso al mare). You pay 7.5 euros for the entrance of the trail, walk from Vernazza bay area for about 20 mins towards Monterosso al mare then you will reach the photo spot!!(Promise you it really looks exactly like the post card!) All the other easier hiking trails were not open due to maintenance. Another good way is to take the ferry, photo of Riomaggiore from the ferry is amazing.See all 3 answers
Booking.com asked travelers...Why do you recommend Monterosso al Mare for food?
Being from Australia the beaches were nothing like we have at home in that you don't get sand, you get lots of pebbles. In saying this though the water was beautiful. It was around cool, but not cold and beautiful and clear, you could see for miles. You have to pay to use most beaches but the free ones are okay and you can still from the paying ones.See all 7 answers
