I loved the atomic bomb museum and also the peace park that is located right next to it. The train station is right next door and the shopping center is right around the corner. It was perfect for what it was.

If you are Catholic, Nagasaki is the place to go! There are many churches to visit. The atomic bomb museum is very sad but a must see. Nagasaki has a great street car form of transportation! You can get anywhere in town by street car and it's cheap!

Very nice place to learn the history and the meaning of peace. Also the city view in the evening is marvelous.

Romantic city. The most beautiful sunset can be seen from the Glover Garden. The city pace is slow and beautiful.

The Peace Park, the only disappointment was that the Atomic Museum was closed on 29th Dec 2016.

Recommended in Nagasaki

Surprisingly, Nagasaki houses one of the best hot spring and buffet resorts in Japan. Fuku No Yu resort is located on the west side of Nagasaki on Inasayama mountain. The resort provides massage and relaxation services as well. The hot springs were to be expected but the buffet alone is worth a visit. The restaurant caters to all dietary requirements and has an excellent vegetarian menu. During weekdays, you can opt to have the hot spring and all you can eat buffet for as little as $20USD, which is a steal considering some hot spring resorts charge up to $30USD for just hot spring entry.

Just grab a map and try to get to the attractions by foot; you'll be amazed of all the things you will see during your walk; mind you though that some attaractions are in the hills, so you need to have a decent physical form.

A cable car to the top of Mount Inasa in the evening will give amazing night views and photograph opportunities of Nagasaki.

Glover garden(history), old temples, walking port and good food. I would like to stay 3 nights(we stayed 2 nights)

Get the one-day tram pass. It gets you to all the tourist locations.

Use the tram, day ticket available for 500.-JPY
