A really nice walk around Derwent Water, about 8 Miles. You can walk part way around Lake a catch the Keswick Launch to take you back to Keswick if you do not want to walk so far. There is a good Tourist Information Office in the centre.

There are a variety of walks both up mountains and less difficult flatter terrains. You will need removable layers and you will use them. There can be 10 degree differences in temperature and wind chill on the tops. If you can, then get a decent GPS with paths on it. It will save a lot of messing around with maps.
