Exceptional
Such a beautiful place to visit! 5th avenue is filled with fun places to shopping and things to buy. Their mall is amazing. There's many things to do including a bunch of excursions like zipping, Mayan ruins, snorkeling in caves, parasailing etc. Gran Porto Real was an amazing resort.

Great place Playa to enjoy its small town feeling and its 5th Ave. Very well located to surrounding places (other beaches, cool places, attractions). Best to have a car and check out all the stops north and south of Playa.

Recommended in Playa del Carmen

There's a good selection of restaurants which are mostly comprised of Mexican, Italian and Seafood. There are lots of other options as well, and at different price points, so there seems to be something for everyone. I love that a lot of the restaurants are on 5th avenue, which makes for great people watching.

All the shops are concentrated on the long pedestrian street of 5th avenue, which makes it very pleasant to stroll and check things out.

nice many blocks walking mall with a variety of restaurants and shops / prices however designed for the higher US dollar

Walking through 5th avenue, drink and listen to music next to the beach, great massage

Nightlife starts late, so take a nap after spending a day at the beach.

El Oasis Mariscos (Playa del Carmen) - 50 Avenida Sur / Calle 12 Nte

The Mexican people are so friendly, funny and helpful

Xcaret and ancient mayan ruins
