What seafood experience in Oban lingers in your mind?

The langoustines and small lobster thingies are freshly caught from the waters around Oban. They are sweet and so delicious. I cannot eat farmed seafood & especially prawns (something in them causes my throat to itch and swell up), but the seafood in Oban gave me absolutely no problems at all. Say NO to farmed seafood and YES to ocean-caught seafood. I am willing to pay more anyday, for ocean-caught seafood. As someone very sensitive to such things, I could see a huge difference in the quality of food that I was eating.

The scenery around Oban took our breath away on the first two days of our stay, thanks to the wonderful weather. One the wet days the scenery was powerful.
Looking west from Oban, the sunset over the islands, was amazing.

Oban is definitely best seen by foot as driving is a nightmare. On one occasion we wanted to go to a a supermarket that looked about 100 yards away - thanks to the road network and the very helpful (not) signage, it took ten minutes of exploration.
