Very Good
If only for the drive along the river coast from Lisbon, it is worth visiting Cascais. I thought it was a great little, beach town with quaint streets, bars and restaurants. Not too small, but not as overwhelming as Lisboa itself could be for some. Also nice to walk along the coast.

A lovely seaside town with classy shops and restaurants. Plenty to see and plenty to do... Cannot wait to return and enjoy more!!! If you are in the area for a while, visiting Sintra is a must, it is like a fairytail wonderland!

I wonderful city-seashore town, clean, with an amazing Atlantic breeze and a lot of museums to spend vacation or to organize a conference.

Nice little town with a spectacular view at the ocean. Rent a bike and travel along the coast. Avoid "british-type" Restaurants. Take a stroll through the Park.

We love Portugal with its fabulous beaches, weather, food and so many outdoor activities to do. Cascais it's just outside Lisbon and very close to Sintra. Highly recommended for everybody in any time of the year as it never gets really cold there ;)

The variety of things to see - in the town there is the harbour and marina, a beautiful central square and handsome public buildings, the fish market and a great variety of shopping throughout the quaint narrow streets.

we really enjoyed exploring the back streets of Cascais finding wonderful little cafes and restaurants... even on day five we were still discovering new lanes and little squares ..... cant wait to return

They don't need that much change. The boardwalk from Cascais and past Estoril is a 3 km beautiful walk going past beaches, restaurants and breaking waves.

most restaurants serve excellent fresh seafood, meat and vegetables. Check out Mestre Ze "cataplana"on the coast road towards Guincho.

Very small clean beach, we visited in Nov/Dec so it was quiet. I imagine it could be quite crowed in summer.

Booking.com asked travelers...

Why do you recommend Cascais for food?

Lots of small restaurants and bars. Excellent choice of food at a reasonable price.

sandy beach central Cascais bay; cliff walks along the Atlantic in many spots.

Lots of great restaurants, especially for fish - we were never disappointed!!

It just puts a smile on your face!
