Things to do in Phi Phi Don
Bida Nai
Bida Nai has got it all. Around this tiny island there are coral gardens, shallow slopes and sheer walls. This variety of terrain means that within a dive or two, you’ll see a mind-boggling range of sea creatures, from scorpionfish and banded sea snakes to turtles and leopard sharks – and everything in between. What are you waiting for?
Garang Heng
If it’s leopard sharks you’re after, then Garang Heng is the place for you. These amazing beasts love to hang out around this soft coral reef, around 2 km east of Phi Phi Ley. Joining them at the reef are yellowtail barracuda and blue-lined snapper, as well as a glut of glorious sea fans and wobbling anemone.
Loh Samah Bay
Loh Samah is Phi Phi’s go-to spot for night dives. After dark, skirt round the wall of the bay and you’ll see plenty of things you’d never get to witness during the daytime. Moray eels carry out hunting raids, oblivious to watching divers. And best of all, bioluminescent algae glows when you stir the water next to it. Nature in all its glory!
Phi Phi Shark Point
Shark Point may sound scary, but it’s far from it. The leopard sharks (who also sound scary) are so-called because of their funky spotty pattern, rather than their ferocity. In fact, they’re harmless to humans. At this diving spot, you’ll be able to see for yourself, as the leopard sharks drift about placidly below you. Meanwhile, you can let the current do the legwork for you on this drift dive.
Bida Nok
When you ask diving veterans which Phi Phi dive spot is king, many will give the crown to Bida Nok. There’s both hard and soft coral, and you can spot turtles and leopard sharks cruising around. Look closely and you can spy ghost pipefish hiding among the rocks. And if you’re really lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of a ginormous whale shark.
Hin Dot
Hin Dot is also known as Chimney Rock, after the cluster of submerged pinnacles covered in coral. It’s great for spotting massive shoals of barracuda and trevallies as they swirl round the chimneys. If you’re a more confident diver, drop down to the bottom to catch a glimpse of nurse sharks and leopard sharks.
Maya Wall
Maya Bay was made famous by the film “The Beach”, so the area can get quite busy. Nonetheless, if you time it right, the wall just south of the bay can be a stunning dive point – after all, the site was chosen for its screen-worthy beauty. Under the water, up and down the wall, you’ll see plenty of wrasse and snappers, as well as glassfish and octopus.

Exceptional
Lovely secluded coves to relax and sunbath. We ate a Viking Resort and enjoyed a lovely Thai curry on the beach setting. Night life close by if you want it but far enough if you want to relax.

Recommendations for Phi Phi Don

walking along the beach when the tide is out leaves behind too many plastic bottles. Pick them up and put them in the bin. Perhaps the 20 Baht each person pays when coming onto the island could be put towards a local doing this every low tide...

Relaxing at day time, fun clubbing at night time.snorkeling and beautiful corals and fish too.

Try tonsai bay small restaurant and tonsai village rather than clubbing side and big resorts
