this is quite a different part of Turkey. i recommend tourists visit Ankara to get a taste of anatolia...not much english speakers here which is probably for the better! i suggest using cabs to get around, theyr quite cheap and the drivers are honest.

Ankara was BEAUTIFUL!!!! Lots of history and very friendly people!! Food was AMAZING and well priced. We walked EVERYWHERE and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! Lots of gardens, waterfalls and museums!! Too much to see.....too little time. Will definitely be making the trip ... Show more back!!! Show less

Too much traffic and often slow moving. Area around the Citadel and old quarter interesting for wandering around. Excellent museum of Anatolian Civilisations close to the Citadel. AtaTurk's mausoleum worth a visit

Vakıf Museum an undiscovered jem for historic carpet enthusiasts. Please could somebody tell me how to get to the airport shuttle? Armada Mall has great bookshops for expats.

Beautiful place and friendly people. It takes time to learn of all the good places to see there. You need a resident to show/guide you. Public transportation is excellent.

the architecture was great and there is plenty to do for all types of travelers. definitely get a metro or bus card before or as soon as you get there.

When you are in Ankara, you must visit Museum of Anatolian Civilizations. The museum is housed in 15th century covered market. The central room houses reliefs and statues, the surrounding hall displays exhibits from Palaeolithic, Neolithic, Phrygian etc periods.

The most tasty food can be found in Kizilay, good value for money

because is grate place to relaxed especially for lover birds..

one feel like not going back home....lolz
