Very good
Molokai has spotty cell reception and wifi. Kaunaukakai is a great little town with very friendly people. Visit Something for Everybody Molokai for some wonderful personalized hats, t-shirts, etc. A super amazing and welcoming couple own the place. Don't forget to get your late night hot bread!

Absolutely need wheels. There is a local bus, but it's on a random schedule. Expect to pay more for everything, even at Hawaiian standards. Beaches are best on the west end. No lifeguards anywhere on the island.

Very good
Book mule tour of Kalaupapa in advance. Also, make kayak and diving arrangements in advance. There are no stop lights in Molokai. Relax and slow down. We enjoyed Molokai Pizza.

Nice little crossroads town. Several restaurants to choose from, though no real standouts. The local bakery has good sweets and reasonably priced cafe meals; good place for a basic breakfast.

Exceptional
Kaunakakai is where it is at. It is central to everything on Molokai. Fantastic for a staycation. Friendly staff and atmosphere. It's a real vacation, time stands still and it is a beauty. Sacred and wonderful. Peace, love and joy.
