Situated in the centre of Basel's Old Town, on the banks of the Rhine, Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois is one of Europe’s oldest city hotels, where such personalities as Napoleon, Elizabeth II, Pablo... Breakfast was nice but just the usual. Probably not worth €45 a person. Location was perfect right in the heart of the old town, on the river. Make sure to request a room with a view of the river. The hotel is exceptional in every way but expensive. The staff will go out of their way to meet your every request. Enjoy the cigar bar. The bedsheets and duvet cover was extremely soft and comfortable. The mini bar was accessible, free of charge.

Lovely, clean apartment in the heart of Basel. Maria is a fabulous host. Very friendly. She was most accommodating to requests, such as a late check-out. Also very helpful with recommendations of places to eat and navigating local transport. I felt safe and comfortable throughout the stay.

Apartment's location is perfect, right in the city centre, which is a quiet area during the night as there is no traffic except for public transport a few hundred meters away, which makes it easy to travel through the city. The check-in process is clear and detailed, leaves you no room for mistakes. Apartment was clean, well furnished with all the amenities, good WiFi connection. And getting a free of charge Basel Card which gives you free public transportation as well as discounts to various museums and attractions was simply perfect!

Beautiful spacious apartment in the centre of basel. Close to shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Also very close to some of the main view points and attractions. Apartment was a good size for a couple would likely be a bit of a squish for 4 people however. Kitchen was well equipped, bathroom was a good size with a lovely shower. Bed was reasonably comfortable although very firm. All things you could need such as iron, airer, TV, cleaning products etc. Check in was easy, collection of keys from a key box outside the apartment and a spare set of keys on the inside.
