Journeys Kings Cross St.Pancras Pleasant 6.5 All I could want from a hostel really and great atmosphere too.
Queens Hotel Pleasant 6.3 Booked as overnight stop for Accept gig at the Forum. Everthing spot on. Friendly staff. Extra pillow supplied with a smile. Would definately stay again ...well convenient. Great value for your buck.
The Rookery Excellent 8.9 Atmospheric Old England hotel full of Easter eggs. The place is really beautiful and it shows that the owners made an effort to make it cozy (eg the shower curtain attached to the tub, to meet all preferences; breakfast in bed; good food). There's an honesty bar and a resident cat. You can choose to take breakfast in the conservatory or in bed (no extra charge). The food is amazing (not only breakfast but also what they have in the room service menu). The tiny beautiful terrace at the back is a nice addition for smokers. Very close to the hotel there's a small restaurant (Polpo's) which is not very upmarket but has really good food. The tube station is very close and that's great because it's a good way to get around London. In all truth, the hotel is expensive but I liked it so much that I gave it a 10 anyway.
Citadines Barbican London Very good 8 Nice Staff. Provides umbrella when it rains. Before the stay I was a little worried that that the bed would be a sofa bed, and it turned out to be a real bed. Maybe in some rooms they are sofa beds.
The Zetter Hotel Very good 8.5 The receptionist was very cheerful. The design of the hotel is awesome. I love it.
Clink78 Good 7.3 Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the bar staff who were very funny and enforced a no phones policy after 7 to encourage people to socialise which was a nice touch. The free breakfast was also good, with a choice you'd come to expect from a hostel, toast, spreads, cereal, juice etc. Our room and communal areas were very clean and tidy, with great entertainment facilities like a pool table and bar. The best thing really was the location, only 5 minutes walk from euston/kingscross.
Islington Inn Pleasant 6.6 It was brilliant, great location, lovely looking room with en suite, even though it was a basement room we still had some light come in which was nice. The breakfast was great with lots of choice. You can tell that the owners and employees take good care of this place, we'll probably come back again if we need to visit the area.
Premier Inn London City (Old Street) Very good 8.4 The staff were very helpful, kind and polite. The food was super and great value. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.
The Hoxton, Shoreditch Wonderful 9 My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We arrived well before check in , but they graciously allowed us to check in. Not to mention the hotel is riddled with great amenities. For example, free internet, an awesome grill, and an hour of free international phone calls nightly. The location is in a happening hipster area, with tons of diverse stores and dinning options. I would recommend this hotel for the young adult or couple on a heart beat!
The Rosebery Excellent 8.9 The modern touch, the perfect location next to exmouth street, the possibility to cook a full breakfast with all the tools and even the dishwashing machine! Excellent, I will choose it again for my stays in London.
