Konventa Seta Very good 8.3 The Konventa Seta is a lovely hotel. It's location is perfect in the middle of the Old Town, and the building is full of interesting features. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. Despite it being -20C outside it was deliciously warm inside. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The wifi is much faster than anything you will experience in the UK. At about £30 a night including a fantastic breakfast it is superb value for money, and if you travel when it's so cold you don't have the scourge of hen and stag parties ruining a truly beautiful city.
Grand Palace Hotel Wonderful 9.3 Great location (silent, close to the old town), perfect staff, nice rooms, good breakfast, fantastic parrot Misha. It is a truly 5* hotel, surely one of the best in Latvia.
Boutique Hotel Monte Kristo Very good 8.3 Fantastic Design, Very Clean and great staff.
Hotel Garden Palace Very good 8.2 Like everyone said, the location is great. The staff has been the most professional I've ever encountered. The facilities were fantastic (we were in a suite). Location: Old Town - enough said. Has important buildings around it so there are security guards around across the street. Staff: Professional at its best. Friendly, informative and very helpful. Cleaning service left the room spotless. Facilities: Sauna and jacuzzi - very relaxing and romantic. Did not use the TV but it has some English channels. Bed was huge and very comfortable. The restaurant has good food but I recommend you skip the Caesar salad. No free wifi but it's VERY cheap and very fast. We streamed HD shows without any trouble. Only ~5 eur/week AND there are wifi booths around Riga where you can use the same wifi login for internet. If you can afford a suite or better, I'd definitely recommend it. Other notes about the hotel: The courtyard seemed very nice. Would be amazing during summer but unfortunately, we went during early March. Other notes (not about the hotel): Many of the museums are closed for renovations or something else (for instance, National History Museum of Latvia is closed until later this year or even 2015). Make sure to check before you go! Would definitely stay here if I ever visit Riga again.
Radi Un Draugi Excellent 8.9 Central location, very clean, great breakfast, powerful showers. Spot on for the price.
Hotel Gutenbergs Very good 8.5 Everything was fine. Superb breakfast buffet.
Kolonna Hotel Riga Very good 8.4 The location and staff where excellent and I would use this hotel again.
Neiburgs Hotel Wonderful 9.4 Art Nouveau architecture. Our room was very nice, spacious with a gorgeous bathroom. The staff was extremely helpful and polite. I would say they have excellent customer service. And. They could tell us where things were, where to purchase a cell phone, etc.
Dome Hotel & Spa Exceptional 9.5 We loved the feeling of staying at home, so sweet when you are on a business trip. Everything is exactly how you want it :) next time in Riga we will only stay here.
Wellton Old Riga Palace Hotel Very good 8.5 The breakfast was very good. I liked that there was an iron in the room. Excellent hotel for affordable price.
