Located in the former George Washington Hotel, once home to many storied writers, musicians and creatives, the Freehand New York features five restaurant and bars, a custom art partnership with Bard... Great place to stay in New York. Relatively close to two subway stations, so it is easy to get anywhere. The rooms are small but ideal for a solo traveller or even a couple. The conditions at the hotel are great, my room was cleaned every day and the employees are very nice. It has 2 bars, one of them a rooftop, and 2 restaurants. It also has a gym.

We walked everywhere. Only took subway once this time around due to the great location . Our room was very cool and art was painted by http://www.tjbyrne.com/exhibitions.html. Lots of restaurants that were open late , great coffee shops and the area felt really safe. We also brought daily treats to the resident cat Nev and left her some when we left .
