Auchendennan FarmSelf Catering Cottages offers a beautiful setting in Arden, a short walk from the shores of Loch Lomond and only 2 miles from Balloch. These charming cottages are purpose-built and have free Wi-Fi.

This is a great location and once they are finished with the restoration it will be exceptional! I love the idea of turning a farmstead into varying self catering accommodations. The setting was perfect! The room we stayed in was huge! It was clean, the shower had great water pressure and temperature control. The bed was comfy too. We enjoyed walking around the property. There's a washer and dryer on-site too that appears to be free to use.

We had a wonderful stay at Alan’s apartment! The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood with a small creek running behind it. it was an easy walk to a large Co-op grocery store, Balloch County Park and Loch Lomond Shores. It also was a great home base for exploring the Loch Lomond area. The apartment itself was fantastic! it has plenty of room for our family of three. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to make all our meals. The washing machine was great and there was a drying rack outside we could use. Alan was so helpful answering questions before the trip and he and his sister were so kind during our stay! We would recommend this apartment to family and friends and would love to stay again as well!

I actually travelled up to attend a family funeral. Accordingly I didn’t actually use all the facilities that I would have done if I’d been travelling for pleasure.

The hosts were super friendly and we enjoyed chatting with them! The room was spacious and we liked that there was tea/coffee available in there. Breakfast was a highlight as it was delicious and filling with lots of options for vegetarians! It is a family home so they had books and games for families as well as teddy bears in the room which is a nice touch for kids!

Frank and Lorraine were really friendly, informative and welcoming. Frank made a really nice effort with our children and encouraged them to take part in an activity outside and rewarded them. The family room that we stayed in was so heart-warming, it took me back to my childhood, teddy bears on the bed were a hit with our youngest, she loved it. We loved the room. Good facilities, shower room within our room. Breakfast was really nice and a good variety, organised the night before and ready for us at the time we booked.

We travelled with 2 small children. This B&B is exceptionally welcoming for kids. The owner welcomed them and asked them to search for faces, if they find all they get a treat. The family room has a curtain to separate their beds. Kids beds had teddy bears and in the kitchen they got kids cutlery. Out of 9 places we stayed in 11 days, this is the place we remember the most.

Good choice for a stopover on the way further north. Lovely place, spacious for a 1 bed apartment - we were a family of four (2 adults, 2 children) and were comfortable with kids on the sofa bed for 2 nights. Liked the fact we could get down the the loch side from the garden, and eat al fresco with lovely views (despite the slightly chilly weather). You definitely need a car to travel around (as it’s on main road without many paths) but well located for visiting around Loch Lomond.

Excellent location, lots to do for children of all ages within walking distance. The teenagers took part in the water sports, tree zone and crazy golf and my toddler went to the park and sea life centre. We took a 1 hour boat trip of the loch which was great. The kids enjoyed playing in the garden at the guesthouse where the owner had left toys including goals and a trampoline which kept the kids amused.
