Paul and his dogs greeted us very warmly when we arrived. The room was very clean, the beds were very comfortable and the room stocked with snacks and beverages. The location is on the edge of town-very quiet but still not far of a walk even with kids to a good restaurant. The breakfast was fresh and tasty. This was one of our favorite stays in England! The kids loved it here.

LOCATION: Perfect, we were on a hectic tour of the UK with a goal to climb Mam Tor. The walking was close and Buxton is great to explore. Great pubs are very close and we liked the food in the nearest pub so much we ate there both eveningsa. STAFF: Nell was perfect, she is a great communicator and, in a classy move that I've never experienced before, let us know that we could extend our checkout before we'd even inquired. This worked out very useful to us, one of our party became very ill, Vertigo (it's not nice!). We had to seek medfical help and ended up in Macclesfield hospital. Nell was attentive and generous throughout, the helpful support we needed. Thankyou NELL :) I will stay here again if I can find a way to do more Peak District walks. PERFECT :)
