“Staff friendly. Great breakfast. Great location.”
“as Always a great reception given by Wendy, Stewart and staff. accomodation is A++ restaurant and bar is A+++ and as a bonus the great seaview we made already a new reservation for octobre. thanks again to Wendy, Stewart , Thierry and staff”
“Very comfortable rooms with every facility for both holiday and business travel; Excellent location with easy access to the Channel Tunnel, in a quiet street, but very near Leas Promenade; Fantastic welcoming and helpful staff who are extremely thoughtful of their customers.”
“Continental breakfast was good and also included scrambled eggs on toast. Our particular executive room had it's own lobby which gave us good sound proofing from stairwell.”
“Just what I expected good value I shall return.”
“We had a great stay at the Wycliffe... Location is at walking distance from the coast and Folkestone center. The owner was very welcoming and provided a lot of information...”
“Lovely old Victorian hotel at a very reasonable price”
“Room was small but comfortable and had character. We normally stay in quite expensive hotels so I wasn't expecting anything flash and it wasn't. But we had the most lovely stay. I felt like I'd been transported back in time and although that wouldn't usually be what I want from a hotel I just went with it. Staff are SO helpful, from those on reception, the waiters, bar staff and bell boy- a good team. We stayed for Sunday lunch. Lunch was nice but the atmosphere of the room and the guests stole the show, even a pianist in the corner and the vicar and his entourage, I felt like I was on the set of a Miss Marple episode. Obviously that won't happen every week. So in summery, yes the building is tired, yes the rooms are small, it isn't flash but it is very good value for money and staff are lovely, so soak up the atmosphere and go with it!”
“We enjoyed all of it. This was our second time and will be going back again”
“The best hotel in Folkestone I have visited so far! Excellent place, excellent staff with outstanding service attitude. Bathroom facilities were superb and the location near the Leas just excellent.”
“the black and white comfort room was very nice, glad i requested it.”
“Absolutely loved our mini break to Folkstone and staying in the room at Rocksalt. We booked a family room and were pleasantly surprised to find it had two bedrooms. The shower/wet room is small but perfectly formed. The staff were really great too. Very happy! Would stay there again.”
“Nicely furnished room, very comfortable, nice little extras like good choice of tea on refreshment tray and cans of soft beverages. Bathroom across hallway but private to room and a seconds walk. Friendly staff, good location too just off motorway and near to tunnel or ferry. A lot nicer than the competition of that price bracket whose rooms are a bit shabby and dated in folkestone. Easy to park too. Nice full English for little extra cost”
