At first glance we thought we it would be too far from the City but the centre was little more than a 15 minute drive away. It was also handy for the M5 if you wanted to venture further afield. The Calf Shed is clean, cosy, comfortable, well equipped and furnished in a contemporary style.”

Bed was super comfortable and we loved the access to the farm animals. Lisa very kindly left fresh eggs, milk and muffins (+ oil, tea, coffee, sugar etc) for us. My kids loved the playground and the hot tub topped it all off. Great pub 8 mins walk and it has a playground.

Very comfortable and very clean property. The owners have built it themselves and it is full of character and comfort. The beds were very comfortable, and the facilities and breakfast were all lovely. The host met us when we arrived and gave us all the needed information. I would love to stay again if I am in the area!

Breakfast was excellent, dinner meals excellent, room was large and comfortable, very clean. Love the old building and pub. I would recommend you stay here if looking around Gloucestershire area.

Great location and facilities. All of the staff are very friendly. Dogs are welcome all over the hotel (including the bar and lounge, but not the restaurant) and all the staff are comfortable with dogs. The food is also excellent quality and reasonably priced.

the husband & wife team proved to be a charming couple. Breakfast (cooked by the wife) was excellent the full Monty consisted of 2 eggs, sausage, rashers of bacon, tomatoes, beans and toast. Tea & fruit juice as normal. My room was very clean and comfortable and the bed comfortable. I have no adverse comments to make and I would certainly recommend the hotel. The cost per room, the cleanliness, the food were all of a very high standard.

Perfect combination of traditional architecture with modern amenities!👍 Amazing location next to the unique Gloucester Cathedral in the city centre!💞 Added bonus, next door (part of the same historic building) one of the UK's top 10 restaurants!
