Stayed here 3 times with the family. It's in an ideal location and cheap and cheerful. There's a kitchen to make your own food or pubs to eat out. I would definitely recommend a visit to Malham and the youth hostel.

No breakfast at all, came up with a poor excuse of no gas in the kitchen and having a problem, no offer of any partial refund for no breakfast and also very rude staff who showed little interest either in you as a guest or in the actual hotel

The doors were locked until mid afternoon so could not say that we had arrived. The bar was only half functioning and bar staff were very rude to a customer in front of everyone for opening a door to the other side of the bar. There were no light covers on the spot lights in the bathroom and the pull cord was fragile. Could only sit at certain tables that were laid out for breakfast.

The manager who checked us in from the moment we walked in was amazing, genuine and attentive and made us feel so welcome on what was a very busy day. Room 24, family room in the barn, was spotlessly clean and comfortable, breakfast was fabulous and served with smiles and love for the children! We ate in the pub and it was a little slice of heaven with fires burning.... Thank you Lister Arms and team. We cannot wait to return. It wasn't our first time and it won't be the last and the people made it!

Mould on the ceiling and on the windowsill. Smell of dampness in the building. Squeaking door handles kept us awake when people were going in and out of their rooms. Tiny room for 4 people and with 2 children just felt there was no room for baby to crowl and for family to play any table game. Overpriced for what it offers.
