Robert was absolutely lovely, he’s so welcoming and the B&B is beautiful. It was very clean and exactly as described. Beautiful big open kitchen with self serve breakfast facilities. Would totally recommend staying here and we’d definitely come back!

The breakfast was fantastic. It was our first irish breakfast and it was delicious. The location is fantastic. We were able to walk to pubs, shopping and the Kilkenny castle. They also had great amenities, pool, hot tub, sauna, gym.

Had a really lovely stay and the kids had a ball. Great that the hotel has a family room with amenities to sterilise bottles etc, really helpful when travelling with a baby. Lovely pool, great outdoor area for kids. Little things like free face painting and free cookies and milk at night for kids, and a live musician in the evenings outside the bar really add to the hotel as a family friendly destination.

The room was huge with bunk beds for the kids (room 102) I would highly recommend the Ormonde as a base for a family wanting to explore all Kilkenny has to offer.

The facilities for children are the best I've come across. Great kids club, the outdoor park area with the dinosaurs and playgrounds and jungle bounce can keep the kids happy and occupied for hours, The food is a good standard.

What stands out is the friendliness of the staff to our whole family; nothing was ever to much trouble and often a staff member took time to engage with the children. The pool, farm and playground were great and the two really enjoyed the evening kids club; giving us a little break. They have a lovely range of indoor areas and the measures for COVID were good , we always saw staff cleaning. The kids also managed the walk into the town.MichelleFamily with young children
