Parador de las Cañadas del Teide

Friendly staff. View of Tiede volcano in our decent sized standard room. Breakfast extra but excellent hot& cold buffet, always prepared to cook alternatives (scrambled, poached, omlettes etc). Perfect location for hiking. Hotel has telescope available to take to car park and look at marvellous clear night sky. Open fires in lounge and breakfast/dining room. Most tourist buses went to the cafeteria next door and all returned down the mountain by 5pm.

dinner menu was ok but not inspiring. Alternative restaurants are a long way down the mountain (but the whole reason for going was the location, being at 2500m above the clouds, walking in lava fields in the caldera, not looking for a gourmet experience). No computer internet available but staff allowed me to use slow office computer to check in for return flight home. (not ideal for checking hiking routes on Google Earth)

The position of the hotel on an active volcano is something very special and an experience not to be missed.

The views of the mountains during the day, the stars at night, and the remote location.

The food. The standard of cooking is low and it's a long way to the next nearest restaurant.

Fantastic to stay within the volcano crater. Brilliant view of the night sky. Very helpful Maitre d'. Comfortable large bed.

Lungt och avslappnat, trevlig miljö med stora brasor på kvällen.

Unieke ligging in een natuurgebied. Echt de moeite waard om er minstens een nacht te verblijven.

Habitacion comoda y limpia.La ubicacion, al lado de la estacion donde se coge el telesferico. Bonitas vistas al Teide y de noche curioso ver las estrellas. La recomiendo solo para dormir, no para comer, que se aprovechan. Consejo: Llevaros comida

Que esta totalmente aislado y dependes totalmente de los servicios del hotel, muy caras las comidas, se aprovechan totalmente. Y bueno la piscina pesima, helada y la sauna cerrada porque se habia calcinado

Замечательное место, прекрасный вид и тишина. Хорошая кухня и приветливый персонал. Отличный отель для созерцания поистине сказочных пейзажей и отдыха. Очень много туристических маршрутов различной степени сложности.

К сожалению на работала сауна, об этом не было сказано заранее. В связи с этим испытали небольшое разочарование. И хотелось бы что бы в номере уже была карта национального парка Tiede.

Das Hotel bietet optimalen Zugang zur Bergwelt des Teide. Die Übernachtung dort ist ein sehr schönes Naturerlebnis.

Der Schwimmbadbereich ist schon recht alt und renovierungsbedürftig.

Tranquillità e posizione

I servizi dell'albergo sono carissimi, una bottiglia d'acqua costa il triplo degli altri alberghi. Approfittano eccessivamente del loro isolamento.

La situation géographique exceptionnelle au pied du volcan Teïde. Le calme et la tranquilité. La gentillesse du personnel de réception et de restauration. La restauration est correcte et propose de la cuisine régionale. C'était le but recherché. Excellent séjour

L'Hôtel annonce une possibilité de spa. Ce terme est bien ambitieux par rapport aux équipements. Souhaits d'amélioration possible: Les chambres et l'hôtel dans son ensemble sont envahis de moustiques. Equiper les fenêtres de moustiquaires serait un luxe complémentaire fort apprécié. A Tenerife le climat est très chaud au mois d'Aout et l'hôtel n'est pas climatisé. Dommage.
