The location is excellent. For a new visitor to the city, it is at walking distance to all major sites of interest in Madrid as well as to the metro station. The hotel is decorated in a very trendy fashion. However, the marble floors without carpets/rugs to absorb the noise, makes it, at times, unbearable to listen to chairs and other furniture being moved during normal daily activities. |

Nice hotel, clean and comfortable The wireless internet is very slow, perhaps they should buy a highspeed connection, and/or improve the signal on each floor. It is a must for attracting more business travellers |

simple, clean rooms. good price for being in the city. no food after 11pm. not even a minibar. i was starving all night as i arrived just after 11pm. nothing around either to eat. |

yes people very nice and friendly however didnt speak very good english.the bar staff excellent and made us very welcolme every time.reasonably priced too. there should be coffee and tea facilities in the room and at least 1 english speaking channel on tv |

The recepcionists were great they did their best to make me confortable and explain the places to visit.. This is a cosy place and definitely a place to stay .... |

The location is exceptional and the room was very clean and comfortable. Also the price was really excellent. If you are looking for quality/price/location this hotel is the best option in Madrid. No minibar. No international TV channels. |

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was within a 10 minute walk of the city centre and close to all the attractions, museums etc. |

It is close to the Metro Stop Puerta Torredo. You can reach Placa Mayor in 10 mins walking. Free wi-fi. |

The staff on Friday night were very helpful as our flight had been delayed. THe location was reaaly good as was the breakfast which was really good value. A smoker had used our room before us and the smeel lingered. This was the one problem we had with the room. |

I enjoyed staying at this hotel. The people was friendly and I had everything I wanted. Breakfast is ok unless the room is too crowded (which happened only one day in my case but it was an exception a big group which came in over the night). The location of the hotel is very good: 2minutes walk from the metro station or a stop of the touristic bus (red line). Also you can find shops and restaurants very close if you need something quickly. |

A comfortable hotel with easy of access to the main city centre shopping and tourist attractions. The rooms were non smoking, ie didn't smell of cigarette smoke and you could open the window. Internet access worked well and the hotel staff were very helpful. |

Friendly, helpful staff. Good room - even had a balcony on the 5th floor. Very good breakfast. Excellent location for metro and Atletico Madrid ground Would have been nice to have had tea and coffee facilities |

The Ganivet is a stone's throw from the Metro and is easy walking distance to Madrid's main attractions. The restaurants close by are also very reasonable. It has a great little breakfast bar inside the hotel doors, very cheap and excellent coffee and juice. The rooms were modern and comfortable and free wireless internet was very useful. |

The hotel was very comfortable and very close to majors sites and attractions,we would stay there again. A double room is two single beds together and not very romanic for couples |
