I wanted to stay in a more rural part of Portugal, and the Tapada de Beira was just what I was looking for. Beira is a very small town, basically two streets. Within a radius of 10K there are two castles and many hiking trails. The selection of restaurants is good, and a number of excellent ones 7K away in Castelo de Vide. The guest house was very nice with a large room and very nice bathroom. Private parking right beside the guest house. The farm animals added to the atmosphere. A grocery store was 5K away. I highly recommend this place.

Beautiful property with exceptional hosts. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and very cool even in the extreme heat. The pool is absolutely amazing. The hospitality and friendliness of the hosts really made our stay special.

The house is really good!! Great relation price/quality. We loved the architecture and decor with moroccan influences. The Kitchen is well equipped, very nice surroundings with nature. We recommend and would definitely go back there! The hostess was very nice and helpful, easy check-in and check-out.

Superb breakfast. Locally sourced. Fantastic homemade cake. Good selection of meat ,cheese,honey , different breads etc Very quiet room,Lots of different spaces to sit outside. Lovely pool. Fabulous host who spoke great english. 10 minute walk to a bar.

The idyllic peaceful rural location on a working farm with sheep with bells. Jose was a delightful host and the breakfasts were excellent. Our room was spacious and the traditional stone building was nice and cool and the pool was great for cooling off. The bed was very comfortable. There were some nice restaurants about half an hour's walk away and nearby Marvao is well worth a visit. We spent 4 nights here and enjoyed it very much. It is great if you are looking for peace and quiet.

Exactly what we were looking for - a quiet, cozy place. Best breakfast I had in ages. Lovely staff, and super pet friendly, lots of walking possibilities. Really great value for money.

Teresa, the host, was exceptional ! She was very helpful and went above and beyond our expectations. Loved her! The breakfast was very, very good. The pool was open and clean. The Quinta was beautiful and very inviting. Teresa also offered us a welcome drink. Wished we could have stayed longer.
