Find the 5-star hotels that appeal to you the most
Looking for a 5-star hotel?
When the accommodations are just as important as the destination, a 5-star stay promises that extra "wow" factor the second you step into the lobby. Along with the kind of service fit for royalty, you can get pampered at on-site spas, enjoy gourmet restaurants, and sleep in top-of-the-line beds you'll never want to climb out of.
Luxury heritage cottage. Extremely well appointed. Host has thought of everything to make the stay comfortable. Highly recommended.
Also enjoyed very good lunch at de Krans winery a 10 minute walk away.
We received a very warm welcome. The old schoolhouse is secluded in the mountains. Bronwyn and Colin have lovingly renovated and furnished it. We slept with the window open and enjoyed the peace and seclusion. There are several marked hiking trails, the river for swimming and boats for paddling. Our children loved the chickens, which they were allowed to feed. They are very tame and let themselves be stroked. Thank you all! We had a great time!
What a fantastic place, maybe the best place we have stayed in Southafrica. You can sit all day and Fall into trance over the view from the cottages. Magical. The cottages are comfortable and so well designed that you think you are in a classy hotel, but with personality. And a perfect personal service fron Gondwyn. And then all the things you can do, swim in the river, padle the canoe/kayak for free or take beautifull walks. Or just sit on the veranda and enjoy. Highly recommended. We were there for 5 days.

The room was very clean spacious and comfortable it was one of the Karoo Life cottages. Superb hosts and fabulous boxer dog called Liffey. We ate at the guest house in the evening on
the stoep and the food was excellent. Lovely friendly atmosphere with other guests. Excellent breakfast - the largest fruit salad yogurt and museli I’ve ever encountered! My husband’s full English was also excellent.
Location superb, both the grounds and the surrounding hills.
Food excellent. Hosts went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. A very sociable stay.
All the walking routes were well flagged and a joy to do.
The setting of the cottage is absolutely fantastic. The unit has all the necessary equipment for full self catering. It is still rustic but in a 5 star way. The lounge has a full wall of stacking doors that have a view of the mountains. A 4 plate stove with an oven, an air conditioner and two full size fridges complete the picture.
The breakfast was superb... the presentation was truly unique. Compliments to the new chef!!!
The decor of the room and inn generally is most characterful.
Michelle was most helpful.
