When we left a couple of them stood outside and waved goodbye...we stopped at the red light for quite some time and when I turned back they were still standing there next to the entrance still waving till we disappeared - simply unbelievable :)

Definitely will stay here again if I come back to Takayama.

The fold out beds had an extra mattress and were very comfortable. The view of the garden was lovely and relaxing. We participated in morning prayer and also a meditation session. Both are highly recommended. We also recommend the small breakfast restaurant across the street for toast and pancakes. The place is run by an adorable elderly couple.
