Maybe also due to low season, very few customers and we were able to fully enjoyed onsen, resting areas etc. All facilities are new and perfect, staff extremely polite and helpful. Most certainly I'd return for a next time!

The ryokan has a hot spring bath and sauna, and guests can enjoy a drink at the bar. Free private parking is available on site. Everything is amazing. It is expensive, but you get what you pay. I recommend staying for at least 2 nights. I stayed for only one night, and I think I could have enjoyed more (like the gardens and the free rental bike service) if I had more time. Having said that,I thoroughly enjoyed my bedroom, the lounge, restaurant, the baths. The free all you can eat ice cream in the lounge was also a positive surprise.

The wooden structure of the property portrays a traditional Japanese-style accommodation. Free Wi-Fi is available at the lobby. Stunning historical ryokan with a number of historic and new onsens. The rooms are renovated in a gorgeous traditional Japanese style and the meal was exceptional. The chef kindly catered for my allergy as I advised in advance. Staying at this ryokan was an exceptional experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in Zao Onsen.

Air conditioned rooms feature a flat-screen TV, a refrigerator and an electric kettle. Each comes with a seating area and slippers. It is a very convenient that there’s indoor spring pool. The food was very good, we stayed 2 nights, and they changed the menu. I even think they upgraded. I love traditional spring hotel. The service is person to person feel very warm.
