As a handyman/DIYer, I was especially intrigued by how well the magnificent old building had been restored, with the finest materials, from top to bottom, along with the finest craftsmanship, maintaining the Old World integrity of the structure, while fully updating it with the clean, crisp edges of modernity. The space was quite large, the kitchen was well equipped, and the host responded to all of our requests. We also didn't hear any noise from others staying in the same house. It's only a few minutes walk to Reichsburg Cochem. We ended up walking up from the train station (about 20 minutes, moderately steep), though the host told us as we arrived that she could have picked us up.

We arrived by train and one of the owners picked us up at the station. They also lent us umbrellas and upgraded our room. Breakfast was very nice and the view from the breakfast room was stunning. Staff was super friendly and helpful. We picked up a car on the second day and there was easy parking right on site. The whole experience was wonderful.

The location of the hotel is great. Close to the shopping area and many restaurants and bars nearby. The hotel hostess was very friendly and helpful during our stay. There was a small lovely balcony in our room and a basic kitchen with all necessary appliances. Tea, coffee and milk offered in the room. We found the beds very comfortable. Very easy check in and check out. The place has a nice view directly to the castle and the water. We worried because was a little bit far away from Cochem Centre, like 12 min of walking, but it was a pleasure, we are happy to do such nice walks with such amazing views.

Lovely room, spotlessly clean with good wardrobe/storage space. Although the hosts had limited English they were so friendly and helpful. Lovely continental breakfast each morning. The hotel is a couple of minutes walk from the town square in Cochem and just a few steps from the banks of the stunning Mosel River. A brilliant place to stay for a break in this area.
