We found the Rockford Inn to be exceptionally welcoming. We were taken to our room, offered fresh milk, the rooms were well equipped and there seems to have been a real effort for everyone to enjoy their stay. The Inn's dining area was very welcoming. The food was excellent and the beer is pulled straight from a barrel which all added to the atmosphere. Breakfast was, again, excellent with plenty of choice and a willingness to serve you something if you wanted it, ie a beer! I would recommend this Inn for the walks nearby that are excellent, the summer may be busy but the spring and autumn are perfect for walkers. Thank you to the managers/cook, Mark and Clare.
