Travelled with a group of friends for the weekend. The hotel was very well priced and in a good location. Best of all was the hospitality shown to us by the staff - really friendly, couldn't do enough for us. If ever up that neck of the woods again will be sure to return.

What an absolute gem. Greeted by Luke in the bar area ( who is a bit of a comedian) Then we were shown to our room that was situated away from the pub. Luke was a gent and offered to carry my case, which was accepted. The room was bright and airy, well stocked with hot drinks, toiletries and towels and the room was very clean. The bed was delighfully comfy. There was also a nice addition of 2 club chairs, and a hairdryer for those that need one. I truly wish I could have stayed longer. Now for the Flowerpot pub. They have a great selection of beers etc and on the night I stayed they a curry night on and what a tongue tingling sumptuous feast it was. I have to say, it was the best Indian I've had outside of a Indian restaurant. We had the set meal for 4 plus an extra starter. There was 5 adults in my party for the meal and there was enough. The food tasted light and fresh with just enough heat from the spices, at the end of the meal you were left satisfied but not overly stuffed. I'd truly recommended the flowerpot for a stay and food it's a place that shouldn't be missed. As for location, you're pretty central just a short 5 min walk from the cathedral and shops. There isn't anything not to like.
